Growing up in the 80s in a small town, Brian showcased a talent for art as a young child. He was encouraged by his family and friends to follow his heart.
In his teenage years, Porter became heavily involved in murals and he entered several contests over the years and won!
In 2009 he was invited to a Toronto graffiti contest put on by Warner Brothers for the watchmen movie at Yonge and Dundas Square performing live. In 2012 Brian was selected to have a solo art show in Park city Utah for the Sundance movie festival 2013, and later, the Canadian Pacific corporation collection. With popularity increasing for the demand of his unique style; he had several magazine publications, and art shows.
After winning several contests over the years, he was scouted by a top North American agency, to have his artwork in several galleries across Canada in the United States, and was also collected overseas.
His artwork is currently on display in several galleries across Canada and the U.S. Brian also has private collections featured in a private airport chain ; which is visible to political, business, and sport’s professionals for Purchase or custom orders.
Later with galleries directly he’s showcased his decades of graffiti mural experience, airbrushing, pallet knives, charcoal, and painting with deep mountainous textures and explosive brushwork, Porter has been able to make the art world his own using a unique flair for colour, and imagination, finishing his work with a bold signature earning him the Moniker of “That’s a Porter.”
