Born in the northern region of Europe, he displayed an early interest in painting and sculpting.
Although largely self-taught, he studied in several art studios in his younger years and completed his education in Germany and Switzerland with a B.A. in fine Arts.

Born in the northern region of Europe, he displayed an early interest in painting and sculpting.
Although largely self-taught, he studied in several art studios in his younger years and completed his education in Germany and Switzerland with a B.A. in fine Arts.
Upon arriving in Canada in the late 60’s he worked for different companies in his profession, before opening his own studio in Richmond B.C. Moving to the Okanagan in the mid 70’s was a turn for him to work more in sculpting than in commercial art, and he continues to this day in Kelowna, B.C.
Dieter’s work can be found in several European countries, and in private collections in Canada and South Korea.
