Louise Lauzon
Canadian, b. 1956
Louise Lauzon was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where she continues to reside. At the age of fifteen Father Jerome, a friend and associate of Paul-Emile Borduas, recognized her talent. By the age of twenty, studying under Father Jerome, she became an instructor at the College of Notre-Dame. She is also a recognized expert in contemporary art history.
Lauzon’s paintings extend well beyond the boundaries of Québec; several of her canvasses grace important collections throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe, including the Pratt and Whitney Museums of American Art.
