The desire to surround myself with all things beautiful has always been present in my world.

I was born and raised in northern Saskatchewan and grew up with an appreciation for the beauty of nature and a fascination with the form, colors and textures of plant life.

I received a formal education in psychology and interior design and have pursued various forms of art and a creative expression my entire life.  I discovered the mesmerizing process of painting with encaustics in 2017, and since have had the privilege of sharing my original works with many collectors.

My minimalistic and modern approach to this traditional medium has been well received with sales extending across Canada and into the United States.  In its simplest form, encaustic is painting with molten beeswax and the art process itself is unpredictable, physically engaging and sensory. I love the alchemy of making my own encaustic medium and the autonomy of being able to adjust the nuances of these organic components to suit my processes.

I savor the warmth of the wax, the sweet honey aroma as it heats on my palette, the textural variables of the art surfaces, and the invigorating use of my torch to fuse the luminous layers of wax.

Painting with beeswax is a serendipitous process and I consider my work to be a collaboration between the wax and myself.

I am passionate about using this collaboration to share with you my sense of intrigue for the natural beauty that surrounds us everyday, and it is my hope that my original works will bring a sense of joy to the spaces that you cherish.
